(The naming of 'Death Corner')
OK, so this one starts in work, I can't actually remember where we were planning on going, but i presume it was into Cosham or something. Anyway that's not important. We leave college, we this time being:
Little beaner (backseat)
Dagnal (backseat)
Adz (frontseat)
Anyway we go right at the round-about, and the car feels a little unstable, maybe in a slidey way, but nothing major. We go over the next round-about and head towards the traffic lights, traffic lights are green/amber as i go through them, not very quick i may add, i turn, i turn, i turn, car doesn't. Car slides, hit's kurb, and very luckery doesn't hit anything else, including on-coming traffic...
So it's still kind of ticking over, but it has a bit of a funny click to it, but it drives, so i stick it onto grass next to where I am. We get out and wheel is kinda bent. In the wrong direction. But... there was no bits hanging off, which was a plus.
Did I mention that the tyres were illegal? Yep they were almost bald, but being Yoko's they were shit expensive, even though i had ordered the new ones, would you believe, that morning. (irony??)
Well it worked out that the damage was pretty bad, but i got it fixed. Turned out where I had smacked it into the kurb it bent the whole front of the car to the right by about 3cm. Cost me quiet alot plus a brand new wheel, and still two new tyres.
So what can we learn from this crash children? Well, always make sure sure that your tyres are in prefect working order and you don't load an XR2 with people and take death corner.
So that's Crash 2....not huge again, no casulties!!
